xbow
It
is going to be a great bow from botech and it will probably be
somewhere around a 1000 bucks; it won't be long either before
all states will have to open it's arms to xbow hunters;they just
can't keep on passing up the money they will make off the hunters
who wants to use them;here in Arkansas, revenue from xbow hunters
is VERY big and it has been proven that the deer herd is as healthy
as ever; I for one am for xbow hunters because everyone deserves
the right to hunt and if a person wants to use a xbow, then more
power to them;  |

Ummm, that wouldn't be so bad.
My sources say that you might be a tad low however.....say another

It's
only 50fps faster than the Exomax. I have the Exomax, still looking
for that elephant or T-Rex out there to take. I might go for
$900-$1,000, but not $1300 for a limited edition "test"
run bow. Bad move I think, a high end only model to test the
waters. Cool or not it's pushing it in many ways. And it's got
to be 240# or more to get that. I shot my Exomax late evening
from in a blind and saw sparks from the string friction and smelled
smoke. That's about as scared as I want to be shooting a non-gunpowder
weapon. 405fps has got to be a brute somehow to get there. Noise
too. Time will tell if it's turning things upside down or not.

Talked
to my area bowtech dealer as i have been researching crossbows
for my father who is 65 and can legally use one in wisconsin
now. The dealer told me he was promissed the first one in wisconsin
around the end of october and they will only be sold in a complete
package with everything needed for $1600.00! He said he's got
3 presold already! I'd consider it if i could use one but my
father is cheap and thinks $500 is alot for one set-up so i got
my work cut out to find him something good under that price,
lol! Maybe some of you guys could order one of these and shoot
me a pm with your used one for sale, under $500 of course, lol!
Bowtechs fastly becomming the premier bow company and wouldn't
sell something without extensive testing to make sure it holds
up. I love my binary cam allegience bow, and it is quiet also. |

Lets see Exomax 355 fps at $600, Stryker 405 fps
at $1600. That's $1,000 for 50 fps, or $20 per fps. Hmmmmmmm...???

Flat to 100 yds? I don't think so. There is considerable
drop on my Exomax at 50 yds. 50 fps more is not that significant
of a jump. Perpetuation of stories like this just keep things
stirred up. When you hit 2,000 fps we'll talk flat to 100 yds. |

I
wouldn't feel confident dropping that much on an unknown xbow.
At least with a Tenpoint in that price range you know you're
getting a top of the line piece. With no history on it, that's
a big chance to take. $800-$1,000 maybe but not $1400 +. Right
now I see a lot of hype and zero info on what it actually is
and what you get for that price. A cocking device? A scope? Warranty?
Too many unknowns. |
